Description

Abilitations set of six balls helps improve gross motor skills, and is versatile for catching, tossing, squeezing, and juggling activities. Each ball contains a gel filling with small balls that provides tactile feedback to encourage and sustain whole-hand manipulation, and creates a fluid internal environment to help the balls glide and mold to the catcher’s hand. The ball’s weight provides kinesthetic feedback which, combined with its catching properties, makes it appropriate for juggling activities. The ball’s exterior shell and enclosed balls are durable phthalate-free polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic, and its gel filling is non-toxic for safer use. PVC plastic is corrosion resistant, lightweight, and has high strength, resisting reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons. The balls are in assorted colors for visual appeal, and measure 3-1/2 inches/90.0cm in diameter and weigh 10.0 oz./284.0g. The set is school tested, and may be suitable for some children on the autism spectrum and for special needs, early childhood, and elementary learning environments.

Special needs products are designed to help improve sensory processing, positioning and mobility, fine motor, and language and communication skills for students with learning challenges. Fine motor products can help individuals improve fine motor skills (hand dexterity), eye-hand coordination, handwriting, self-help skills, such as dressing, and focus and concentration.
